DHP Presents at the First Annual Graduate Student Appreciation Week Research Competition Day

DHP student assistant Danielle Scheer, was invited to represent the College of Public Health and Health Professions at the first annual Graduate Student Appreciation Week (GSAW) Research Competition Day.  Scheer presented on her research, “Increasing Cultural Competency Among Healthcare Professionals Working with Persons with Disabilities.”   Thirty-five students were selected from across all graduate programs at the University of Florida (UF) to present during GSAW, and the top sixteen presentations will represent UF at the statewide research symposium in April. In addition to networking with fellow graduate students across the University, students were able to meet Dr. Paul Duncan, Senior Associate Dean of The Graduate School, and Dr. Ken Fuchs, President of the University of Florida.  Pictured from left to right: Dr. Duncan, Ms. Scheer, and Dr. Fuchs
